NOPE !! Give it 3 years and it will be at the right price

not nearly $115k...starting at!!!! wifey loves em and we spec'd one out. they are beasts. with barely more room...IF they have more...than we do in the backseat.

BUT...they wont hold their value. which means....like I8A said...they'll be in the 50's in 3 or 4 yrs. how depressing is that, if you bought one new?

M6 grand coupe is the only BMW I would ever consider.

The thing weighs like a tank, though. I believe they weigh somewhere in the 4300 - 4400 lbs range.

even at 4400 lbs...the power:weight ratio is in it's favor. its just a bad match up. especially since BMW has underrated that engine...

at an optimistic 400 whp for the ISF and a pessimistic 500 whp for the BMW...the M6 just wins.

I had a little highway romp with the new E63 AMG wagon..also very badass. He walked slowly on me.

Don't fret it...who owns the fastest car made and can any of us on CL afford it? Maybe a few?

Seriously it is just all good fun getting anyone to "GO"...and I have won more than I have lost but even in defeat I had fun (Ferrari and modded CSTV) and just remember this and on the day when you pull someone hard don't forget how this felt and still give them a and go about your way...right?

PS It would have been cool if 1/2 way through your run with the M6 a series of corners showed up...now that would have made it more fun!!!

Seriously guys, the ISF has no chance against a new M5/M6, not even full bolt ons, they're in a different league. No shame on losing against one, it's always fun trying. I know from experience.

^^^ Intimidating! LOL.

The car is a dream to drive, but it's so different than the ISF that I miss the ISF. Two weeks ago I saw my ISF at a shop, they were fixing a dent before selling it and I felt sooo bad! The body shop guys were impressed by the car, they loved driving it.

Back to the M5, you step on the gas and the car pulls way harder than my I/E/H ever did.

You win some, you lose some. But as many have stated prior, these two cars are on different levels. The M, any M, will always have an advantage tuned, while our F's don't have that option to unlock some added power and alter certain things that make a quick street race tilt in our favor. Maybe the M6 wasn't tuned, but from the factory it had an advantage already, so it wasn't going to be a fair fight anyway even of the F was modded. But stepping to an M6 took mighty guts. It might weigh more, but certainly you had to know the end result wasn't going to be desirable.

the M6 is an awesome car I was considering it for a little while but just so long in my opinion and plus I just wanted a weekend warrior so that's why I went GTR and so far happy with decision. I will have to find an M6 to race see how it turns out I will be doing some bolt ons soon and a tune so hopefully after that i'll beat most cars on the road.

The bmw's do loose value fast same wkith the Mercedes another reason I didn't want a new one of those.

The ISF I always thought was quick but I mean in all reality it is at the same level as a the mustang GT as far as straight line performance goes. It would not have ever surprised me that an M6 would have beat it.

I drove a last gen M6 drop top and was underwhelmed. I thought it was going to scare me. It was too damn heavy to blow my mind, even with 500 hp and 10 cylinders. The new turbos beats are on another level. Especially in how they deliver their power

And for $20k I can build an old F body to smoke anything in a straight line. Or boost an Exige to stupid power to weight (400+ hp with 2400 lbs) and then I win on straights and corners. So what? There's always something quicker, faster, more exotic.
