Default WTF! 2013 Headlight Bubbling Issue

Has anyone else had this issue on the 2013? I thought this was sorted with the 2011's and their yellowish LED and bubbling issues?

My car only has 20,xxx km's, and the headlights have not been modified in any way.

Yes it has been well documented, bubbling happens to all years 11 or 12+. I think it's the heat from the projectors. My 12+ headlight has bubble on one side. I have seen it on many other 12+ headlights. If your car is a factory 11+, just bring it to the dealer and they will replace for you.

My 2011 isn't bubbling but I asked my dealership if it does begin to bubble while car is still under CPO warranty will they replace it and they said no. I didn't press it with the service manager yet but my service rep said 100% no.

That's strange, a few guys on here have had their 2011 lights replaced due to bubble issue. I guess as long as you are still under the original factory bumper to bumper cover 4 years 50k miles.

I'm starting to see this happen on the 98 Supra headlights that have less then 4,000 miles on them. Same deal, black paint bubbling right bellow the projector.

gotta be frustrating. I know they added the LEDs in 2011 , but did they change something else ?

Yep, 08-10 are chromed so I guess that stands up to heat from the projectors and the sun better.

Yea, it's the paint just not handling the heat well. The 98' Supra lights have the same paint and are doing the same thing so that has to be all it is.
I would say a high heat enamel is most likely going to be the fix.

I have 2013 headlights and the paint bubbled a bit. Not noticeable unless you really look up close though.

few things I really dislike about 2011+.. silver trim on the steering wheel, gray plastic center console/door trim, and now bubbling headlights. the 2014 IS' look even cheaper inside...

huh? I'm not sure what kind of ISF you drive but...

Grey plastic? you mean texallium? aka silver carbon fiber

Also the steering wheel is not silver, its almost a blue'd grey metal.

And the new IS look unbelievable on the inside, stitched dash etc.
