Default getting a 2008 ISF

Hi All,

I have been on the ISX50 forum for some time already and I'm thinking about getting a ISF.
I come across this car online but I'm not sure if it had belong to any member here previously.
The vehicle is a 2008 and it had 3 previous owners from Maryland to Delaware and now in NJ,

The vehicle has aftermarket exhaust installed, so far I haven't checked what's in the engine bay yet. I asked the sales on what kind of aftermarket exhaust it is, he told me it's a Maganaflow exhaust.
Does anyone know if this exhaust deletes any catalystic converter on the car ? and if the previous owner is a member here, please chime in and let me know about condition on the car.

tks all

It looks like a custom exhaust. As far as I know magnaflow does not make a system like the one pictured. It is likely the secondary cats have been removed but they only way to confirm this is to look under the car.

Yeah definitely a custom job with Magnaflow mufflers. I would look over that car thoroughly, buying a previously modded car always frightens me.

it was what I figured. I'd like the vehicle to be OEM.. Do you know if it's expensive to put back the secondary cat ?

Hey, thank you. I just PM you where the car is at.
I'm still debating on getting this vehicle or a CPO one, there are a lot of custom parts reverted back to OEM from the vehicle's service history.

Because the car is from the northeast, get it on a lift and check for rust. My car's first owner was in NJ, and the Sikky headers that were installed have a lot of premature rust. I don't know if that's from the salt on the roads during the winter or what, but I would get that car on a rack and check it out. I haven't seen any Fs here in Texas w/ aftermarket headers that have that kind of wear.

Could that be because the material used to build those headers was crap? And/or not coated with a rust deterrent? Not assuming just a theory.

My car has been in the northeast all its life and does not show anything like that underneath. Only what I would call a rust "coating" that will come off with a wire pad.

After speaking with Sikky, it doesn't appear to be a quality issue.

Regardless, isn't salt an issue for you guys up there? I've heard it can really beat some cars up during the winter?

road salt may be an issue if the owner doesn't wash (underbody wash) or wax the car for years.

The exhaust is the ISS. I see there are 2 O2 sensors on each side. 1st side are under the engine bay then the 2nd set are after it. Doesn't the ISS deletes the cat ?
