Default Adding park assist to a MY13

Is it possible to add the factory Lexus park assist system to a car that doesn't have it?

I'm considering buying a new IS-F, 2013, that has nav and all the other options except park assist and radar cruise.

I don't care for the radar cruise as I heard it's not that useful on this model, but the park assist and backup camera would be great to have.

Odd, I thought all ISF's newer than 11' had the park assist.
I didn't think you could get radar assist cruise.

haha… I know how to drive - have been driving for 26 years with zero accidents!

It's just a nice to have feature. In Canada, the IS F does not come with park assist. I have it on my CT200h, and sometimes I find the rear backup camera useful (e.g., when parallel parking on a tight downtown street, which is often!).

Actually the park assist did come on the Canadian cars too.

dang not 1 accident pretty good!

oh so you are saying back up camera was extra? backup camera and the parking sensors, those comprise the 'park assist' feature?

If it has Nav, backup camera is standard..

Park Assist sensors are OK.. I had them on my IS350 and I really don't miss them on my F

i have it on my canadian 2012. that is really odd.

i find the sensors are slower to react up front unless the car is in revers.

I love the sensors, helps a lot of time when backing up.

adding the parking sensors and making them work like factory is easy

no cutting and pasting wiring invovled

I asked when my car was delivered and the dealership messed up my order sheet - they said they can only add the rear. The front will need to come installed from the factory.

Keep me posted if you end up hearing different. I'd be interested as well.

Though all Canadian Isf's come standard with park assist in the series 2 package.
Unless this is a USA import ?
