This. I won't go out of my way to find a nice car to park next to, but if it's between a nice car and a beater, I'm parking next to the nice car every time, and I think that reciprocates.

This thread is really funny to me. My car has zero door dings, well, zero dings period, and I park next to the shopping cart return, next to anything. I don't care. I only make sure my car is well within the lines. Never an issue. Same with my 21 year old Supra...

Oh my lord.. not me. You can't BRIBE someone not to ding you in Chicago. I've had my eff since May and I have a single mystery ghost ding on my passenger side door. I believe it happened at the DEALERSHIP but I can't prove anything. That or a ghost of dingmas past as I'm a freak about parking (and have a camera on it in my own lot). No respect here, none - I say!

try living in socal... its a totally different story half the people dont have insurance and the other half simply do not GAF. I just had a hit and run on my daily the other day... Even when I was parked a mile from anyone else someone still managed to love tap the camry.
