Is this a Lexus cobrajet lol
My set up
Buddyclub p1
17x9 +37 hoosier drag radial 275/40/17
I only took a pick when I tried to see if the 17" clear the front caliper and they did but too close for my liking maybe 1mm clearance.
17x8+32 also clear front and back

Volk Evo 4 (old but light Jap wheel)
17x10
275/40-17 Toyo R888 R-comps
They clear the front brakes but rub on the suspension upright because of the width
no problem on the rears though

I run Nitto NT 05's 18" on the rear. They do an amazing job. Didn't go with the Nitto NT 05R because at my home track, slicks put me in a higher class and the regular 05's do just as well without the drag spec. I run the car all the way down the quarter mile and do not have to shift out of 4th.

What size slicks or tires best for Drag Racing?
Recently i went to drag race my ISF and been dissapointed with the results. My 60 ft times were around 2.1 to 2.3. I was on stock potenza re050a. I would like it to bite off the line and do under 2.0 60 ft time. I want to know what size tire and rim is best suited for drag racing? Also if i'm on the stock 19s, whats the best tire to use on it for drag racing if i do not plan on getting a different set of rear rims. I have a pair of michelin pss for it but not sure they will do any different from the potenzas. Any help or experiences could definitely help me out.

be careful using the mustang to size wheels. The GT500 may be different, but the GT track pack only changes out the front clipers to Brembo and leaves the rear the same as the stock GT.

you can use r888's but search drag racing performance thread for the best results. IMO all you need is 245/40/18 mickey Thompson et street. many have run this combo with is350 rims with great results and its a cheap route to go.
