In a word, yes. Assuming you use them for their intended purpose.

Default Drag Racing Wheel Setups Show Em

OK so I have done searches with no avail. So here I was cleaning my rear calipers and the inside of the stock wheels and i had an epiphany. I went into my "shop" and grabbed my Mustang Cobra wheel and bolted it on. A 17" wheel will clear the rear brakes. the offset was off and a newer Mustang (05-14) wheel fits perfect. I was wondering if anyone out there has a 17" rear and 18" front drag racing setup on their car. For the naysayers out there who say a 17" wheel will not fit here is mine. I would like to see what everyone else is running for a Drag setup.

I got Drag rims with NT05R's 275/40/17 which I didn't have a chance running yet. Bought them from a member here.

Can you guys add your width and offset? I'm going to try on some of the wheels I have on my rack and if none of them fit I'll be buying some rear rims and tires soon.

No just 18s at the back... I had a 255 up front with a 20' rim.

My fenders were rolled and I still got rubbing from time to time. I would say that my tire setup is one of the more aggressive ones, especially with a 1' drop. Im going to be running the same setup at stock height with my current F

This IS the N/A set up as I feel my wider 17" set up bogs on N/A runs... this guy is sharp. Hoping for faster times this year with a properly working nitrous system.. hoping

Turns out that I had a set of drag wheels on my rack that work perfect on my car. Yokohama AVS 18x9.5 +40
They where the stock wheels from an SMZ and we used them for a Supra a few times years ago.
The current tires are BF Goodrich g-force T/A Drag Radials 275/35-18
They are old tires and not the size I want so those will be replaced but I'm happy that I have a nice drag setup and didn't have to buy rims!

I tried them last night but they didn't help me out. ChrisP1 ran the same 60' and ET as me on a stock wheel setup.
