My thoughts exactly. I'm not pulling out my gun unless I intend to kill someone (or I'm going to the firing range). I love my F, but I'm not killing someone over it. That's crazy.

I think the OP handled it perfectly and responsibly, and I'm glad the guy got caught.

Can we stop talking about shooting people. Seriously, its just a car. The OP reacted perfectly. Why escalate the situation with a gun.

Last summer, we had a rash of car thefts. The crew cruised affluent neighborhoods early in the morning and took for cars as if they were scheduled for early morning pickups--while the unsuspecting owners were still asleep.

Many years ago thieves attempted to steal the wheels from my neighbor's Lexus. My Doberman at the time "Duke" had a few things to say about that. Needless to say, they fled the scene quickly to keep the seat of their pants.

Because of this....
Cops said he was from a town about 40 minutes south of me and has a long record of theft and burglary.
Clearly, it is time for that dog to be put down. Do we wait until this POS kills someone who tries to stop him? IS that the right thing to do? Or, just handle that scumbag when he crosses the wrong guy and be done with it. Our society has become way too complacent and apathetic toward accountability. Criminals have more rights than the people they attempt to victimize. Vomit…

Question This is for the gun carriers

Your car is outside and you wake up during the night. Someone has broken into your F and is stripping the thing.

You get your gun and confront the thief. He tells you to screw yourself and you'll look better with that gun shoved somewhere. You decide to shoot him.

First problem is you forget to empty the gun into him. He is rolling around on the ground, blood, pee and poop everywhere. Now what?

The neighbors lights come on. Are they watching? Should you or can you finish it?

If you finish killing him and there are witnesses, you'll see jail.
If you let him live and he does live, he'll sue. Guaranteed and for a lot. If it is a criminal act, your homeowners will not cover it.

If you have one of these nice cars put it in a garage. If you don't have a garage, get one. By the way do light your property with good lighting.

Ask me how I know this stuff.

It never occurred to me that our bodywork could be stripped and bolted to an IS

I don't think the sideskirts bolt up to an IS. I think you need ISF front fenders.

wow just read this.. people are getting very bold these days. I'm more worried due to the fact that where I live there is a creek near by and lately a lot of homeless/drug addicts hangout at the creek, recently one of them tried to run up on my wife's is350 demanding some drugs, just because she was wearing her scrubs. I ran out with my crowbar, called the cops they arrested the idiot a few mins later trying to do the same thing a block away.

Be right back, coming to your house to steal your stuff. Please leave your door open and hide in your closet with your head between your knees while you weep.

This is going in the wrong direction and does not need to be moved to the debate forum. We're done here.
