Default A/C Auto mode question

Hey guys, I have noticed that if I have my AC on and its in Auto mode that the car will keep AC on but just turn off the Auto mode. I have had other Lexus vehicles and never seen this. I usually just set my car to Auto 72 degrees. I have noticed this also if I am pushing the car. I think I remember a thread on this but was unable to locate. Is this normal ? Thanks for your help

Don't know if it's normal but mine works likes yours. If the temp is set at 75 and the fan is off, I can still feel the heat coming out of the vents. Just click the A/C off on the Nav before pressing the Off button.

have you tried putting it on recirculate? that may help the air from coming through
