So I placed an order for a cf grill surround as they finally had it back on the site showing shipping in 24 hrs. Got an email today saying its back ordered wtf gives? Every item I ever try to order from them it seems to always be back ordered or just canceled like the cf spoiler when the price changed..... anyone have any success with them? The illuminated sill I ordered were on backorder almost 4 months before I got them. I canceled my order bc they instantly charged my card on order placement even though they don't have the item in stock

Not to bash Sewell as they are a faithful vendor but this happens EVERY TIME I order ANY THING from their site (which is quite often). I'll order anywhere from 3-8 items at a time and at least 1-2 will show 24-48hr stock but then it takes over 4 days for stock plus shipping wait on top of that. My simple common orders end up taking 2 weeks sometimes... Special items can take up to 6 weeks.

Occasionally, I will email their CS and they will go ahead and ship the items that are in stock while I wait for backordered items. However, each time I have to "ask" for this service and they make it seem like they are doing me a huge favor.

Oh well, such is life I guess..

It really must depend on the items that you order. I've placed 10 or 11 orders with them over the past few years and I don't remember waiting much longer than a week for anything.

I kind of had the same issue as the OP in that I ordered a few things and one of the items was not in stock so I they made me wait until they got it to ship me everything...but it only took about a week...not too bad...

When u put things in your cart it usually tells u whether they have it in stock or not. But I will say that I like most of their prices...however, they need to come down on that CF rear spoiler...I would buy one of it was a bit more reasonable...

I love them !! Have never had an issue. I would just call them in advance and verify when you order.

DAMN !! just looked up that spoiler. How the hell do they charge $2300 for a CF spoiler ?!

I had ordered the grill surround yesterday as it hadn't been on the site in a long while and had just shown up again. When adding it to the cart it showed it as in stock. It was around Christmas time when the spoiler was $250 I placed an order and that was pretty much the day it went up to only wait till January to get an email explaining there was a pricing problem and asking if i wanted to pay the 2300, hell no. Some people here got lucky and got theirs for $250

I have not had bad service from Sewell, but I have only ordered OEM stuff or key covers, floor mats, etc...never hard core aftermarket bits like the CF grill surround.

^^^^ Same goes for me. Only OEM parts and no issues over the years. They are #2 to Curt at Elmhurst Toyota for parts ordering from dealerships in my experience.

Another one with great experiences from Sewell. I order all kinds of odds and ends and even ordered a bumper with no issues.

For those of you buying the CF surround why not just take it to a local shop that does wraps? The grill offered by sewell is wrapped...nothing special.

I know right...when I saw that I was like...Seriously? You know like the Wilson Staff golf commercials...LMAO I still want it as I have seen 3M wrapped rear spoilers and they always have a bad spot (where u can tell it si wrapped) plus it is not real CF

Good point...I had a local place 3m wrap my grill for $50 and they would have done it in CF wrap if I wanted...but I was talking about the rear spoiler that is real CF and they are asking $2,300...

I've ordered many times from sewels in the past and all I can say is their service is second to none. Never waited more than 4 days for a shipment.

My experience with Sewell has been nothing less than great, but maybe I'm biased because I got the CF spoiler for $250
And I never need anything super quick as I live in Canada and get everything shipped to my US address, so if I have to wait a week or two for delivery it's no big deal.
