Rather than spend the money on the TOMs I think I'm going to go with vinyl wrapping it for the time being as I am currently looking at houses and need to watch where I spend my money a bit. For those of you who did this, how did you measure/cut the piece to make sure it fit the lines around the exhaust tips and was symmetrical?

I haven't done this myself yet but it would be easiest to remove your muffler tips first. This is so you can stretch the vinyl over the openings and tuck it in properly. Once stretched over the openings make an incision around the center and work your way around stretching and tucking as you go.

It's best to outline the area you want wrapped with blue painters tape not only as a guide but to also protect your paint when you go in with a sharp razor to cut it into shape. Also this goes without saying that 3M scotchprint is the best product to use bar none. Easy to handle and forgiving if you need to reposition it.

^^This is why I am asking. Didn't know if people did it this way or measured and cut the piece prior to sticking it on.

I was planning on removing the exhaust tips. Thanks for the help tho.

Don't use a rzor knife. I used knifeless tape when I wrapped my whole car.Just set it where you want it cut, wrap over it and pull the string and call it a day. It's as easy as that.

yes use knifeless tape! you will need to make a seam right where the lower section under the tips meets the edge of the larger bumper section on both sides to make a reliable wrap job. you can't notice it at all. this way there is no tension on that tight corner and the vinyl will not peel back/ lift. i did a couple back in the day:

one in gloss black, the other in matte black.

Looks great - IMO the vinyl wrap/S4play diffuser combo is a very nice inexpensive option.
