I think what he meant about the percentages is that stock your going to average about 20-30hp and with mods I/H/E you will get 40-50hp. each car will be different. I need to find a daily.

Well if that's the case I'm definitely more interested now. I don't really want to, but since I mainly work from home, so I could live without my car for a couple of weeks.

Information base on experience from SARD Japan and some JDM IS F and IS350 dyno sheet.
We do NOT have any USDM ISF dyno yet, please understand these information are given by SARD Japan.
Each car is different and it will have different result.
So far 30-40 gain from stock ecu on these dyno sheet

They are rewriting the whole map in the ECU with the data provided by Toyota and Denso Japan.
SARD Racing are Lexus Racing Team in Japan, they race with Lexus and they work on Toyota and Lexus everyday.
http://www.sard.co.jp/race_r/
All Japanese tuner who tune Lexus are using SARD Racing device, the base map is all written by SARD Racing. Novel, iCode etc etc.

I asked SARD Japan, they said their tuning do not have any problem with Lexus Japan.
Their customer are able to go back to the dealer and warranty is valid.
The dealer program will not be able to detect if you ECU is reflashed or not.

The tuning is written base on 91 U.S. Fuel = 95 JP Fuel.
(Require to fill up with 91 Gas or UP.)

What does SARD ECU tuning do?

- fuel injection timing
- ignition timing
- Throttle control
- Throttle response
- Rewrite the transmission program to increase the accelerator response and linear
- Faster shifting time
- Increase midrange accelerate speed and response
- 7-12% increase in HP.
- Cancel the speed limiter.

Thank you

Nigel
If that's the case, you might have a 2013 ECU coming your way

Two questions.

1. Can they remove/turn off the rear catalyst inefficiency codes, from the ecu? Would be nice to not need a separate fix for those of us with headers.

2. Is buying a spare ecu and have the dealer flash our correct immobilizer data on it a possibility? Seems having a spare ecu would be ideal.

Wow! A 40ps gain on the IS350?! That's pretty significant!

This sounds promising. Do you think the ecu tune will have an effect on reliability?

All tunes will put more stress on the engine on minor mods.. stock tune is very conservative for safety purposes.. for major mods like FI a tune is more of an adjustment so the proper A/F is carried throughout the RPM's.

I am pretty sure this tune is conservative as well since it does not apply to any individual header/intake/exhaust combination.. its a generic tune and opens up gaps on the stock tune.

Come on guys be logical lol.

There is promises that there will be NO CEL or VSC light.
If there is any light, SARD Japan will fix it for free. (If the light goes on due to the ECU flash.)
Everything should work like stock after the ECU reflash.
OK this is a lot more reassuring. If they can warranty the ECU, as in fix it for free if we see CELs, I will definitely consider this in the future. This could also make ISF's more marketable! I like where this is going!!!!!!
