Ok guys, let's stop commenting on the price and what it's worth. We are 18 pages deep and half of it is about the price or how Nigel and SARD should run there business. We get it, some people think it should be free, others think it should be cheaper, some think it's fair and some think it is just a good opportunity regardless....SARD would sell more if they gave out a few test tunes for free and so on......
The price is what it is and no one is twisting anyone's arm to test it. I think it's time we move on from that part of the discussion now.
This is exciting and something many of us have been waiting a long time for so let enjoy it!
Fortunately we will have results in a few weeks so no one that doesn't want will have to worry about the risk. Just sit back and wait for the result. If you like them then buy it and if not then we move on and wait for something else to come along.
I for one am optimistic and happy to see this finally becoming a reality. I hope this works out and everyone that is questioning it feels better or confident enough to make this big purchase.

From what I remember nobody was able to crack the ECU, basically it was impossible. Obviously its not a simple task, congrats guys.

It's not impossible. It's because Toyota wrote their own software/codes and built the computer. So if they don't let you have the software, you are pretty much **** out of luck. SARD and Toms obviously have pulls with Toyota of Japan to get their hands on. They are responsible for all of Toyota racing for the most part, in Japan at least.

So this thread has run its course. Nigel and the pioneers who are truly going where no tuner has gone with a US market ECM will post a new thread with results. I expect the conversation in the new thread to focus on results, not pricing, not availability, not anything else pointless or derogatory. Congrats to all who will be the first to experience a genuine tune!
