Side bolster - Leather cracks, scuffs, dye fading!!!
Foreword: I've read some treads already about the interior of the isf
I saw an isf today that was in pretty good condition, the interior had a little wear and tear and the odometer had about 25k miles. However the one thing that I found odd was there was scuffing of the driver's side bolster on the outside!!! I'm talking about the side facing the door, not the part that touches your body when you sit down on the seat. The bolster facing the inside of the seat was in mint condition.
HAS ANYONE SEEN A SIMILAR SITUATION LIKE THIS BEFORE?
What would be the cause of something like this? The seatbelt buckle scratching the leather??? Any ideas?

I am always very cautious when entering and leaving the car. My car has 95K and is in very good shape. I clean and condition seats atleast once a month which keeps the leather in very good like new shape. I would recommend Leatherique cleaner and rejuvenator. It has zero oil which actually breaks down leather and certain vinyls. I use on entire interior.

I have almost 100k and I have a small hole in the side bolster, driver's left. This leather is not nearly as durable as what I've seen in the past from Toyota. My Supra has over 150k and does not have any holes.
The covers are expensive because they come with the heater elements installed and there is no option to get just the cover. The color is nearly impossible to match - they call it black, but it is not black, it is a very dark blue.
I would complain to Lexus about this, but considering age, mileage, and service history, I really doubt I'd get any traction.

The leather in these things is pretty disappointing for a $60k+ car. The leather in my ls430 ul looks brand new at 80k miles.
I'll be picking my isf up tomorrow and this is one of my biggest worries with owning the car because I'm **** as hell. Lol

VERY EASY FIX !!!!
Cal a company called FIBRENEW. They are national and can reconditon the seat to look like a new s eat. I used them on my LS when I had dye fading and a hole on the seat from a blade I had in my back pocket when I sat down on the seat
pretty sure they are national.
