Default IS F or Q50 Eau Rouge or GS F?

Well since the IS F is now 7 model years old and is now discontinued, now I face a new dilemma.

I'm looking for something 4 door for family friendly use as well as high performance. The recently unveiled Q50 Eau Rouge with its 4 wheel drive and gtr twin turbo engine definitely caught my eye.

But, I have always loved the IS F since it was in pre production. So now I am faced with a tough choice in the future. Which way to go? Try to find a used 2014 ultra sonic blue or go for the Eau rouge? Or maybe a third distantant option of a GS F. I think $80K would be as much as I'm would be willing to spend so if the GS F or Eau Rouge is more than that might make the choice easy.

So what do you think CL?

The ISF and GS fsport are two totally animals. I haven't followed the Q50 eau rogue but isn't it just a concept?

What other attributes are looking for in your purchase besides it being a 4 door sedan and family friendly? Because all of your choice can fall into those categories.

Go for the ISF. The GSF isn't a sure thing just yet and the Eau Rouge is still just a concept. With the ISF there have been several years of discussion and experience from several owners, whereas if you go for one of the other 2 on your list, you're faced with being the "guinea pig" so to speak.

Default He's talking GsF, not Gs F Sport

Don't know much about either right now. Maybe someone can dig around. I'm happy with my 08 IsF. Infiniti is notorious for transmission issues.

Well this is an easy one. Since the ISF is the only choice of the three that exists for the consumer markets it's also the only choice. No real use for a poll when two candidates aren't running in this election.

All depends how patient u r. Eau Rogue is basically a pipe dream of a concept car and GS-F at best is prob 2 years away. If u can afford either of those cars then I would buy the 2013 F and drive it until those cars exist then just trade it in and take a small hit on the trade in price. Personally I wouldn't wait for a car to come out that may never exist.

I think these "What should I buy?" threads are hilarious. I almost think the people that post them are just trying to impress us with what car they can afford. I don't even ask my best friends or wife what kind of car I should get and they have known me forever. How are basically strangers on a forum that u have probably never met supposed to know what car is right for u? Please bury these threads with the "Sikky vs PPE Headers", "What wheels should I buy?" and "What exhaust should I get?" threads.

I would say if you really love the IS F, go for it. While a GTR-derived engine with its twin turbos is enticing, I'd wait to see how it fares in Infiniti's Q first to see what kinks need to be worked out. The GS F, while I know it's long overdue, isn't even the next F to enter the market, which most thought it would be. So I don't know when or if it will even have a concept for car forums to dissect. While these are the choices your narrowing yourself down to, you have to consider whether your family will be using the F often. The rear seating is limited, but some adults can fit back there. Best of luck in your decision-making, but I would first discuss it with the rest of your family. While you might be swayed towards the IS F, and rightfully so, if your family doesn't fit in it well, you'll end up spending more money in the long run.

All three are, or will be, overweight hooligan machines. Choose the lightest, cheapest one.
