Please help...no power at all!!!
Ok was hooking up my amp and sub. After searching through the forum I finally decided to go for it. Followed the DIY from tt061880. Ran power, ground and remote. Tested see if amp got power...had power to amp, check. So spliced all wires to stock sub going to ML amp. Got everything wired up. So turn on radio to check bumps for about 10 secs....then poof..... no power at all. Car won't start. Dome light flashes for 1 min. No power at all. Ok thought maybe battery drained. So I decide to jump it. Once I put cables on seems to be power. Try to start and does not start. Weird. Checked all fuses. Still doesn't start. Once I take off jumper cables no power at all except light on bottom of doors. Now key fob doesn't work. Will not lock or unlock. No power at all.....unless I put cables on press start....tack goes up like start up but no start. Press start and powers off?? Weird...don't know what it could be?? Has this happened to anyone's else?? Please help.......

this doesn't sound good... sounds like the battery - jlam86 is on the right track - check the battery's voltage and fuses.
if you try to start and all you hear is click/ or the lights go out, that battery probably shorted really bad and was drained... if you have a trickle charger - charge it overnight/tonight

As of right now battery is completely dead. Going to pick up a new battery now even though I'm sure I can try and charge this one. Checked passenger kickbox fuse don't see a break light. Will look for brake light fuse. Well hope this new battery fixes the problem.

New battery is in got power now. Press start now won't start engine. Stays on amber light. Always doesn't detect key fob to lock and unloclk and windows will not roll down except driver window. Will check all fuses again for the third time to see if I miss one. Any other suggestions would help. Thanks guys.

Every time you pull the battery, the windows need to be reinitialized.
Do each door manually, then the auto up/down will work from your main control panel. Simply hold down the down the switch for 5 seconds and up for 5 seconds from each door. Repeat for all then test at the drivers controls.

Update....plugged in new batterY.engine turns on. Good thing atleast I can drive it now. Reset each Window individually check...All good. Stereo wasn't working for about an hr just had audio off....check fuses once check last radio 3. Got it work. So As of now everything is good. Thank god. I guess when battery turns off resets everything. Now off to the car stereo installation... which cost 100 and battery cost 150. Should just brang it there in the first place. Lol...well thanks everybody for their input!!

the first time I installed a dvd/navi head unit, amplifier, subs and a back up camera (on my S4), I did blow a fuse - but the fuse that you're supposed to install as close as you can to the battery that powers the amplifier. After that experience, I add fuses+fuseholders to anything I'm adding on to my cars, simply because without it, the battery takes the bullet.
