Default C-Mod Carbon Fiber Grill Surround

Does anyone have this grill, if so... Are you able to use the stock mesh grille to work with it or How can I attach the "L" Emblem/Logo on to the mesh part of the C-Mod Grill?

I had one and to answer your questions.

The carbon fiber surround does not have the tabs to fit the stock mesh center. You could possibly glue it? That is how the c-mod wire mesh is attached.

You would have to glue the emblem directly over the c-mod wire mesh.

Also, fitment was almost perfect. The only issue was the top center mounting tab did not line up.

Ah I see, well... Locally I can have my grille surround wrapped in Gloss Black for $125 or Get the C-Mod Grill and add an "L" logo/emblem to the front?

125 for a wrapped grill surround seems very high. I'm not the expert on that but holy cow.

I think the painted OEM looks better then the C-Mod. And if you are going to wrap it buy some 3M wrap off of the big auction site for $15. You will have enough to make numerous attempts! With a heat gun, some patients and some beer you can do it and save some cash for gas.

I thought about it. I'm not sure if it's worth getting the Carson Black Chrome Grill Surround?

I did the opposite......

I did not like the fitment of the C mod grille, so i removed the OE surround and used the C mod mesh, with the OE surround.

Here is a test fitment on my old damaged bumper, I have since sent out the surround for vinyl coverage.

Did you mount the F emblem with super glue? I hope the fitment is good with mine as I just got a C Mod grille. It's just sitting there waiting to be installed

The C mod grille is going to need to have about 10 holes drilled in it for the "T" clips to fit the rubber weather striping as well as the frame holes. The C mod does not fit perfectly on the bottom and looks weird as there is a gap.

...I did not want to mess with this, or remove the stripping altogether.

It seemed painful to try and align the holes properly. The OE gives me perfect fitment, pre-drilled holes and looks better than the C Mod.

I feel I have wasted my money on this, and purchased the most expensive black wire mesh available

Logo - created a backing plate with threaded bolts....enables wing nut attachments and to move the logo around or remove it as desired.

That looks great! Do you have any pics of the grill on your car?

I have a C-mod grill and digger has it right. Mine fits good at the bottom but I did have to make all the holes for the weather strip.
I had my stock surround painted matte black and I will be swapping back to it with the wire mesh one of these days.
I guess I'll have a very expensive piece of wire mesh at that point as well.

I had the same thing before the C-mod. Also a good look.
