Default Secondary air intake - is there a way to have it always open?

The secondary air intake on the IS F that opens around 3500 rpm - is there a way to set it to be always open? If so, how?

I think you will lose power if you do this......

No need to remove the vaccuum line, just unplug the electrical connector. Sounds good - felt slower to me.

Thanks. Interesting - it might negatively affect low end torque. If I ever get a chance for a dyno run I'll try it...

Dyno won't tell jack about this. All the data I need came from 1/4 and 1/8th mile runs. It's consistently slower with the flap hard set open. As you might guess, I'm not a big fan of dyno numbers. They don't always translate into a faster car. Besides, I've never seen anyone drive down the street with the hood open, so dyno conditions don't even vaguely resemble actual driving conditions. I've always been convinced trap speed never lies.

This has already been tested. Proof of loss in power on the dyno. Increases sound decreases horsepower slightly.

Yes!

That would move me out of F Stock in Solo2. And cost a lot. I'd rather improve the slowest part of the equation, which, currently, is the driver!

So vacuum cap(what size?) the connection end, and what do you do with the hose?

or

Which electrical connector should be disconnected?

thanks,

thanks,
For a slower car, you will disconnect the connector right at the intake box flap..
It controls the vacuum solenoid..

Disconnecting any solenoid is going to **** off the ECM. Have fun with that.

I tried this and I did notice it was louder but it wasnt pulling as hard.

I wonder why it was removed from the ISF CCSR though?
