I swaped to a flat bottom steering wheel in my suby...the change in the feel is amazing. It is probably all placebo, but aside from it looking better, it felt way more sporty. I plan on installing my flat bottom wheel as soon as i get it this weekend.
I did it a weekend ago - the Sewell video was very helpful but had to watch it a few times to figure out all the wires. May be a user issue on my end tho . Take pictures as you go and you should be fine, I found it handy when rewiring.
