That's a good approach. For my header installs I use a similar product called DEI fire sleeve.

I also route the harness up along the transmission harness on the left side and up behind the heat shield then along the Trans cooler lines on the right side. It helps to take the o2 brackets out of the way as well. This keeps the extension harnesses far away from the heat. Using heat shrink or tape at the connectors and zip ties along the length of wire will also help prevent a failure down the road.

If you look closely you can see where the connector is in this picture and also how far away from the heat source my wiring is.

I got my PPE headers and installed this February and it was fine the whole time....

Where are u guys getting ur headers installed at? I'm having Lexus dealer install mine and hoping they know how to install the wiring part correctly so it won't get melted. Wondering if it's a design flaw the way the wiring is. I contacted Paul at PPE and hopefully he can walk the installer thru any issues.

I assume both sensors are same part number and I should just buy 2 of the same one right?

Great info in this thread! I am considering headers and now I know how to narrow down potential issues!

Just picked up car from Lexus of Tampa after header install and wow, what a difference in sound and performance. Master tech said install went flawlessly with no codes. I had planned on installing high flow cats but they didn't arrive with the headers so I am running catless right now. Haven't smelled any gas smell in the car even with windows down. I stuck my nose near exhaust and there is a faint exhaust smell but nothing I would have noticed unless I was an inch from the tailpipe. So far I am loving it and the sound at WOT is just unreal with the Joe Z exhaust

My CEL and VSC lights coming on and off lately, the mechanic who installed the the PPE for me just checked the car, the harness are good, no burn marks or anything. He help me replaced the Bank 1 Sensor 1 AF sensor just in case. Hopefully it won't come back on again. Big Thumbs up for Casey at my local dealership for excellent work!! I will keep you guys posted with the update.
Good luck on the rest of ya'll who having this issue.

I had the same issue, harness looked good so I replaced the sensor only to have the cel return. I replaced the harness and all good. I think maybe the contacts are made with an inferior material but what do I know.
