Hey guys,
I'm in Texas and I was wondering what window tint percentage y'all have done on the front doors to be legal. I had my windows metered and they read 70. I guess maybe from the uv protection. My last isf read 23% and passed state inspection but I bought that car with the tint already on it so I don't know what percentage it was. What tint do y'all have to be the darkest legal. Any idea what percentage that tint was on my last isf that read 23%?

Note: Windows immediately to the right and left of the driver that have less than 25% light transmission will fail inspection, regardless of the year model of the vehicle.

Its 25%, for the front two windows, you were probably close enough that they passed you.

Yeah I understand all of that but what percent film was on my last isf that read 23%? Bc some films read just under the percentage. And I've been told by tint shops that of I do 35% it will read 25-28% and if I do 30% it will read 23-26% and some others say if I do 30 % it's illegal.
