Catback Exhaust - Hpipe vs Xpipe design
Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can give me some insight around CBE's for the 2urgse and what makes an H-pipe or X-pipe collector design better than the other. It appears most catbacks utilize an X-pipe design: Is it because of HP gains?
From what I know about the v6, the Xpipe design net slightly more HP... Can the same be said for the v8?
I have both a Joe-Z and Greddy catback. Undecided which one I will ultimately use but if welding an Xpipe into the Greddy (H-pipe) is necessary I'd like to go ahead and do it now. Thanks
Heres a pic of the Greddy piping:

Looking for bragging rights? There won't be a huge difference between them, but if you want to go to the work of splicing in an X crossover, it will be slightly better (depending on a whole lot of other things being equal).
The number of cylinders does not matter. The principles are the same regardless of the number of cylinders as long as the number is >1.

Yes, the one they marketed/sold a few of.
This one was from the ISF SEMA car 0-60 mag did several years ago. I picked up several parts off the car before they crushed it. I wanted real quad tips so this was the best option short of doing a complete custom or ISS Forged

Joe Z is guarantied 15-20 wheel hp. Greddy tips are cool but no X pipe or resonators and race mufflers will be insanely obnoxious. Especially with headers! And I think your trying to put a blower on, right? OMG SOOOO loud and thats coming from a guy running SIKKY/JOE Z no cats currently and for four years... still love it and get complements regularly. When I bought Joe's PTS system their were three maybe four exhausts on the market. It was one of the best then and now after 20 exhaust have released it remains the benchmark others are still held too on a regular basis. If you already have it why not rock what is IMO the best exhaust available for the ISF.

Loudness, I'll deal with that when I cross that bridge. I guess I wont know until I get everything running and dialed in. If its obnoxious the JoeZ is at the ready.
