The Secret Underneath -- Weapon Behind the Latest IS F CCS-R
For those who remember, Lexus USA first received their IS F CCS-R back in 2012. The car was quickly prepped for 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado where Lexus captured 2nd place in the exhibition class

In 2013, we got words again that Lexus was entering the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race. While not able to get any confirmation, there were rumors that Lexus got more serious about the race and they "worked" on the already awesome IS F CCS-R. This time around Lexus captured 1st place in the exhibition class

But Lexus didn't stop there. Soon after their success in Colorado, Lexus decided to try something new at the end of the year, participating in the 25hr of Thunderhill Race. It was an extremel demanding race that put tons of stress on the whole vehicle as well as the drivers and the racing team. In the end, Lexus proudly captured 4th place in the ES class and 5th place overall.

Lexus just released an awesome video yesterday on the race as well
Well, now we can tell you one extra new information that was never told before...
For both races in 2013, the IS F CCS-R had been rocking the latest and most powerful Lexus V8 engine to date -- the one that's going into the upcoming Lexus RC F!!! Here's a picture of it

That's right, the engine is here and before we know it, it's been running harder than ever. Lexus wasn't shy in pushing the engine through high attitudes (Pikes Peak) and long brutal hours (Thunderhill) at all. And one can really say, this new engine is very much track proven.
Unfortunately there is still no word on the exact power output, but for those like me who are interested in the Lexus RC F, I think the car has just become that much more attractive!
Thank you to Lexus Corp for all the exclusive information.
