Default Sub $3000 aftermarket wheels

Im fairly new to the ISF and im trying to find some reasonable priced custom wheels that will have the width and offsets for the isf right now im going with the Forgestar F14 20x9 20x10.5. I like these wheels but not in love with them every wheel i am in love with cost 5000 for a set the forgestars are 1950 plus shipping. Im asking for your help to name some wheel makes that are no more than 750 a wheel for our 9 and 10.5 widths. Thanks fellas

Rohana has 20" wheels under $2k and are pretty popular except I think they are on the heavy side, I was looking at these but I decided to keep my stock wheels on

How's that line go... you gotta pay to play?

Seriously though, the higher end, forged wheels are generally going to be expensive in ISF sizes (19" or 20"). The top manufacturers (Volk, Work, HRE, etc) are just not cheap. You can find some other manufacturers but you may not get the quality you want, or they just might be heavy and perform much worse than the stock forged BBS wheels that come with the car. I have run knock-offs or unknown brand wheels on previous cars, and my experiences have been mostly positive. I only had one set that was crap, and the rest worked fine. But for the last few cars, Volk has been the only wheel I run.

I would suggest that if you want a quality wheel for under $3000, you look to buy something used. Deals can be had out there for sure. I've NEVER had a problem buying a used set of Volks from a trusted source.

I scored my wedssport sa-55m for 2300$ shipped brand new. At 21lbs and flow formed, I think they are a steal and are very strong, light weight wheels. Depends on what you want though, a sport wheel or a multi piece wheel.

Don't put heavier wheels on an ISF. Who wants to downgrade? If you can't afford an upgraded wheel stick with your stock wheels and keep saving. Like mentioned above look into used Wheels to save.

There are still some quality wheels to be had below $3k, but as others have stated, for lightweight and forged, most likely used will have to be an option. I know vendor RavSpec has some great deals on wheels, and it wouldn't hurt to PM them. I've seen numerous wheel ads for sale here on CL, and there are some really nice looking ones at that. Sometimes the right wheels do pop up, but it can be a waiting game. Along with this, you have to consider tire size, ride height, fender work, and even lug nuts. The F14's look great and certainly fit in your budget.

Used Volks would be the way to go. However, I ended up paying $3100 for brand new 19" Volks since nobody has the right offset for our cars.

Why 20's? I had a set of 20's prior to the Weds and I really didnt like them, mainly because of the way they fit our cars. Its damn near impossible to get a wheel thats remotely aggressive that wont rub on the front fender liner, and trust me it's annoying. I wouldnt rule out 19's all together. Heres a shot of my weds, not the best pic but you get the idea.

Get in touch with Ivan at PYSpeed. Look into BC Forged. I bought a set and it was just above $3000 for 19x9 and 19x10. Google them. I had Volk and DPE on my M3. The BC Forged is better than DPE and comes very close to the Volk in quality. Same company as BC Racing.

I would love to sport some 20's. But I would be too worried about bending them. You really don't have enough tire for DD. I already worry enough about scrapes. I don't want to have to scan the road like a computer when driving.

I agree, don't buy wheels that are worse than OEM. Lighter and stronger.

I wouldn't say that just because they're not 20s, it's not an upgrade. There are plenty of styles out there that are different than the OEM wheels that totally change the look of your car even though they're the same as the stock sizes. The other bonus is that you can reuse your stock tires in most cases too.

That said, the forged BBS wheels that come with the car are great. I would not swap them out for a downgrade in wheel quality, which is why it was pretty much Volk or nothing for me.
