Id say your good either way. The R8 would be great but there are great cars to own and great cars to drive.

I've considered the rs5 but this is more of a gt car. It only comes in auto. Something about a v8 and ripping through the gears.

The Audi R8 V8 with the r-tronic is best viewed as a big, fat Cayman S with a jerky tranny (that many owners are not crazy about) and clutch issues.

The R8 V10 with the s-tronic is what I want, but dropping $170,000 on this car is a substantial investment ( for anyone). With that said, it's where I would like to be sitting.

Speak with R8 V8 past owners to find out why they sold the car with low mileage (there are many on the market).

Still waiting for one to pop up that checks all the boxes. There is one local with 17k for 97k but they want to much for it. Its 09. Should be mid to upper eights. See what happens in a couple months.

Your IS-F looks great. I just bought a 2012 on Friday, and your car was on my list while searching..

Any feedback on the Manual R8 4.2. I have driven a R-tronic and it has the automated manual feel... Its not as smooth as the ISF, it has a very jerky feel to it (As if to simulate the clutch). After about 10mins of driving the R-tronic I actually like it. Could have been the Stasis Exhaust and tune on the R8 I drove (Heaven). Drove the S-Tronic after and that felt perfect! Silky smooth, quick shifts up and down. Very calm when you need it to be and had a good performance feel on call. The dealership did not have an manuals to drive at the time : ( They said most R8s are ordered with auto trans
