not only that but also the prices is a bit higher for the 2013-14 ecu so that is evidence there is some changes they did. one of the upgrades im looking at along with LSD. anyone have the part number for the carrier, been waiting forever for car parts but no luck....

I can't find it on Sewell. Only the 41 unit.

I am wondering myself. The 41 unit is around $200 cheaper than the 42 unit.
I am sure any of these would be a nice upgrade over the 2008-10 steering unit (40).
Is it worth to pay $200 more tho ....... Can't decide yet.

Always check here for prices as well as Sewell.

The '13 89650-53042 P/N shows $580

A few dollars cheaper, not sure if that will sway anyone's decision to pull the trigger on a '13 unit or not.

I am about to pull the trigger on the new Steering ECU, I have been considering this
upgrade for a while.

Anyone with any experience driving 2011/12 vs 2013+ car.
any noticeable difference in steering?

Rossi why don't you go to some dealers to take a test drive 2012 and 2013 to see how it is different. That is only way you the one who can feel the steering by your liking. Keep us updated bro!

This would be great, but at least in my experience, I couldn't even find a 2012 back when I was considering the swap.

Last I checked for the 2013+ models, the only way the dealer would see another F, was if someone specifically ordered one. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

I drove a 2011 ISF and the steering is more tight and accurate. 2013 I never driven any yet but hopefully I will soon!

I noticed that 53040 and 53041 are the same price on Sewell. If the price increase on 53042 was because of upgrades wouldn't there be an increase on 53041?

how about we do this a 2013+ and 2011-2012 owner meet up and switch cars, doesn't have to be a whole day but a few minutes and send us feedback. simple enough so lets make this happen. who wants to volunteer?
