Default Purchased 2012 Certified Pre-Owned ISF

Mine's a 2012 with around 6.5K miles.

I didn't have a chance to check high-speed braking due to traffic and on way home, I sensed a light pulsation on the brake pedal and wondering if this is abnormal.

Also, per the carfax, it had its driver side front wheel bearing replaced and the dealership replaced all four tires.

Aside from the above, the car is super clean. No wear on the driver side bolster. No window chips. 3M filmed from new. It was purchased at the same dealer by a four-Lexus owner. I'll be looking to add a set of adjustable coilovers and 20" HRE 590s or Work VS-XX wheels in all black.

Anything I should look out for as a new owner? Kinda nervous about the wheel bearing replacement and pulsating brakes. This aside, glad to be here! Big fan of Toyota engineering.

Thank you.

To clarify it was one wheel bearing driver side front they disclosed it

Pulsing kinda sucks so not sure how this is happening on such a low mileage well conditioned car.

Tires r michelin pilot sports all around that they replaced as part of cert process.

Our 2007 LS460 (bought new) had pulsing and it's because the brake pads were not worn in correctly.

Here's quick how to on bedding in brake pads properly -

The pulsing is abnormal but it's nothing to fret over and it's pretty easy to fix once you replace your brake pads.

You have an extended warranty...lexus will kiss you butt...drive it like you stole it (after the oil is warmed up)

I'm pretty sure the pulsating is due to issues with the rotors and not the pads. It's abnormal for the brakes on Lexus vehicles to pulsate especially at that that mileage.

Congrats on the new car. Hope the brake pulsing doesn't amount to anything big. Welcome!

Take it back to them and you should not have to pay anything. Its CPO so you have a great warranty. You wlll be perfectly fine.

big thanks, gents. i'll be talking to my salesguy here this AM to sort this out.

any vendors you recommend for great deals?

i'm assuming that the kw3s are good streetable lowering pieces. i'm also looking for an authorized Work wheels dealer that's trusted by this community. what's the ideal tire fitment/specs for 20s? thx!
