Default Recommended shop for header install in TX or OK??

Anyone know of a reputable shop that they would trust to install PPE headers in the Oklahoma or North Texas area?

That was who I was thinking I would end up talking to...I have always associated them with some quality work on Supras and stuff over the years. Thanks

HEy COisF, I had my PPE's done at Xtreme Lube off Council, close to NW expressway, though 1% motorsports in Edmond would probably be my next option.

But at least you know the guys have done it. and i've never had a CEL related to the install.

where in Oklahoma are you from?

That's good to know...always a plus when someone has done it before. What did they charge if you don't mind me asking? Also, not sure if you have added exhaust as well, but if so how loud is it?

I am currently in Altus until the Spring. The F is in Enid under the care of my girl and her garage It's currently a weekend pleasure unless she drives it until I move up their. Joys of the military...

Yea i have PPE headers, JoeZ Exhaust, it's semi loud, by i love it. I get so many compliments on the sound.

I kinda got robbed on the install, which is whyi thought 1% might be a better option. They work on seriously highend cars and do a ton of aftermarket performance engine work. I had a few other things done and my bill was like 1k. but i should probably be around 800 ish, which seems to be the average.

I spent 4 years in Altus, so i feel yea You normally at Vance, or just from Enid? Also what color is your F? /grin

Hey, I live in Tulsa and also have PPE headers with Joe Z exhaust. I'm real good friends with the GT-R mastertech here in town (from my GT-R days) and he did both my exhaust and headers for $400. Great guy and does superb work. EVERYTHING that has been done to my car has gone thru him. He does a lot of work for a lot of guys in the Tulsa Caffeine and Gasoline group from highly modified GT-R's, M3's, Evo's. etc... I would highly recommend him and he'll even let you help!

I agree with madastep that the Joe Z exhaust in conjunction with headers leans a bit on the loud side for a DD. I would NOT want it any louder. Borla would be a great alternative from what I understand.

Nice...Tulsa is just as close as OKC, and having a trusted tech with recent experience would be great. I will hit you up down the road when I get ready to move forward on headers. I have definitely noticed people commenting on the Borla being more reasonable in combo with headers

BTW...you still happy with the Swift springs? I'm planning on throwing them in soon. I'm doing them for the lowered stance and I don't want to go the coilover route with this car right now...

Can't beat the Swift springs for the money in my opinion. My tech installed those as well for $200 including alignment.

Considering he aligns it as well, I will probably PM you for your info and set something up with him in the next few months. I was just going to do it myself, but me and my girl were thinking about checking out Tulsa anyway
