Default Glad to be back on IS-F again...

I sold my 2011 IS-F 4 years ago... Fast fwd last night, I saw a used 2014 IS-F , liquid platinum at local dealer by my house.
Prev owner kept it clean, I didn't see any sign of modification to the car. Test drove it and drove it home.

Lexus made a few changes on this car. I do like the alcantara and this car downshift way faster than my 2011. I think I'm gonna keep this one stock

Welcome back! What cars did you have in between ISFs? I'm on the hunt looking to get back into one myself after a couple of Porsches. your new one looks fantastic from the shot that you posted, and as was already said, it's exceedingly rare.

Congrats on purchasing a rare 14 model, how does it downshift faster if its the same transmission though?

Probably was low on transmission fluid or something on the '11. F's seem to be very sensitive to transmission fluid levels.
That's my guess.

The transmission shifting is something I experienced as well. The first F I ever drove was an 08 that seemed to shift lightning fast. Then I drove a 2012 that was very sluggish feeling in comparison and I wondered which one was correct. The 11 that I eventually bought feels not quite as fast as the 08, but much faster than the 2012. Weird.

Nice to hear about another previous owner returning to the ISF. What car/s did you have during your hiatus and what brought you back?

I remember the 2011 had a delay when downshifting. Maybe it was just my car.

V. That could be it, I wasn't sure. I thought that was normal back then.

Nothing fancy. Just Navigator for the family and SC430. Trade in the SC430 for IS-F.

Nice! I miss my ISF sometimes, just wish it was AWD... too scared to drive it in snow even on winter tires here in NY.

Quick Reply: Glad to be back on IS-F again...
