Default How many of you guys bring your own oil in to the Lexus dealer?

I asked my service advisor last time if I could do that and he said normally they don't let you but he would note my account so that I would be able to. My question is I've heard some stories of mechanics that just swipe your good oil and put in the normal stuff anyways, is there any way to prevent that? I was thinking of asking them to put the empty containers in my trunk or something but that might be a little cheesy.

Anybody else have experience with this? Was going to start using RP.

Things like this make me glad I change my own oil!

They had a huge scam at Jiffy Lube a while back with coworkers just parking their car in the garage and work was never done.

lol Jiffy Lube

I would change my own oil if I had my own garage, I think i would get a pretty nasty letter from my apt management though if I tried to change it in the community garage.

I take it you can't feel the smoothness after few hundred miles with a synthetic oil change? Want a piece of mind, you say? Get your oil analyzed for a fraction of the cost.

Can't call yourself a car guy if you don't change your own oil.

I supply my own oil as well. I have used Motul Synthetic for years and have never had any issues.
