Just had my body shop install the Tom's rear diffuser. It looks awesome! It fits about 98% percent. Their a 1/16 gap about two inches long where its not completely sealed. The prefitment looked perfect. The instructions (lucky my wife is Japanese and translated them for me) said you may need to sand down part of the difusser to insure a perfect fit. Did any of you have to sand or modify the difusser. The gap is very minor, I will only notice if I look for it and wonder if others experienced this. Wondering if there's an adhesive I can use in that area that wont stain the bumper if I ever need to take it off. Not sure its worth having my body shop take it off, sand an area off and reinstall it. I've attached two pictures and one with the gap.

If you used tape only, the gap will gradually get larger as I've had to re-tape mine once already. It started out with zero gap and the gap widened after about 2 weeks. I'm too lazy to re-tape it again so I'm just going to leave it for now since you can only notice it if you look really closely.

i have the same sickness. i remember on my other car i had my rear bumper off and had it wrap in tape to make sure i had no gaps.

The TOMS is always good fitment. I'm with you guys in that I hate that tiny gap between bumper and diffuser. Most don't know it, but it's the little things we note. Is the trim molding helping to minimize the gap even more?

Included 3M double sided tape and weather seal. Close to perfect.

Weather seal the same as trim molding? Yes, helps minimize. Luckily on passenger side so won't have to look at much.

I'm debating whether I will have my body shop use an adhesive and make it permanent. I don't anticipate ever taking it off and it will be a bonus if I ever sell the F. If it gets worse over the next few months I may do it. I'm glad to know this isn't an isolated incident and a known issue.
