it should be plug and play if you got it from sewell. you only need to repin if you bought the lights somewhere else and want 100% brightness and also if you want it the led on when the chalk is set to auto. hope that is correct otherwise correct me if I'm wrong...

Thanks Teo for clearing this up for me.

As a side note: Auto-leveling is a mandatory requirement in the USA for new cars with xenon lights (so that you don't blind oncoming motorists at night). Yours should auto-level when you get the wiring sorted out.

Also, as a reminder there is NO AFS feature in the new 2011-2013 IS model HID headlights...

Adapative Front lighting System, allows a swivel correction while driving.. Depending on road conditions.
Found on ALL IS models w/ HID headlamps from 2006-2010.

The Up/Down Auto Leveling feature is still present in these newer lights and you will only really see this happen when the car is started.. The projectors will tilt down and then back up to auto level..

This will then only happen again while driving on a severe incline or decline.. Nothing will happen while driving on a straight level road.

If you pull the fuse to get rid of the "AFS OFF" warning light, you will lose the Auto Level Up/Down function.

I recently opened my 08' guage cluster to cover the AFS warning light.. Pretty easy if your handy.
