Default how to spot leaky waterpump

please excuse my ignorance. i did do some searching, but i was trying to see how i can tell if a waterpump is leaking?

i'm not honestly sure where it even is in the car, i couldn't tell from the couple pictures that were posted. i guess some of the bolts on the pump will have turned pink from coolant? or just some other pink stains somewhere?

wondering if anyone happened to have any pics?

thanks
b

If you did search and actually read the posts... there are pictures between posts to show you where the location and how to spotted the leak.

Thank you sleepy. No wonder, I was searching "waterpump" stuff instead of "water pump" (2 words)

Thanks for the threads!

It seems that i have to get my water pump replaced as well. There is visible pink residue in the engine bay. I have read the threads on this issue and would appreciate if someone could confirm the part number for the water pump.

is it 16100-39506?

I just checked mine and *KNOCK ON WOOD* no leak!

Either I lucked out on my '08 or I haven't been pushing my car hard enough...

My '08 doesnt have pink from what I can tell right now, maybe because I have crazy low miles on it.. How can I tell my cars in-service date so I can see when the powertrain runs out? Im the second owner.

I just monitor my coolant level and see if it drops below the F mark. I'm just lazy..
