Default Bronze Metallic Brake Calipers

Loved the look of the brake calipers on the new AMG's and GTR's so I tested it out on the fronts.

Rears are happening tomorrow, still waiting on my Brembo decals

Used VHT high temp engine enamel (4 coats) and VHT brake caliper clear coat (2 very thick coats)

Also mounted my CF splitters, and Vossen CV7's. Can't wait for my BC Coilovers w/ Swift springs from Figs to get here.

Those look fantastic! Do want!

I have always felt that the factory black color hides those beautiful calipers.

That looks bad. I may have to change my brake caliper to that color. I used G2 before with vht clear coat. from the looks of it, you took out the entire caliper. did you sand it out and what did you use to cover the brake line?

Sure was.

The VHT paints are extremely forgiving with proper technique. It is as smooth in person, as it is in these pictures.

I also used their satin black "roll bar and cage" paint for my exhaust tips. It's very durable stuff, with the same smooth finish.

I did take off the brake, however I did not disconnect the line. I just made sure everything was taped off and covered, the pads and pins were removed.

cleaned, scuffed, cleaned and then did 2 light coats and 2 heavy coats of base with 2 very heavy coats of clear.

brembo decals are from ebay
