The detailing job on that car is nice, but the turbo system without engine management is not.

Haha thanks man! I gotta do what I can to stand out, what can I say! D3 is still sounding super promising, I'm going to be super jealous!!

I saw this on the Dallas Craigslist. Looks cool. Does anyone have any pictures of the turbo setup?

I have a ton of knowledge on the car. Ive driven it and its great. I even had the pleasure of speaking with the builder, Bob Norwood(google him) about the car.

Bottom Line is it makes just about 400hp to the wheels on 6psi. The car is maxed out here as the systems that controlled all the new goodies couldnt function well together above this threshold.

I decided against it because I refuse to be the guinea pig for reliability and cant afford a broken 50k project car if something went wrong.

Well, like it or not, without changing the pistons, no one is going to boost much on pump gas. Standard compression is pretty close to acceptable limits for reliable street operation without any boost at all.

He would have loved 10k! the receipts show 60k in parts and labor

It was done because Toyota said it couldnt be.

Since there wasn't really any substantial gains over easy bolt-ons, I'd say Toyota was correct.

I considered it, and it is for $44,500 I just really like the blue on my car. Though a waxed Black is beautiful as well. I find the car fax funny with 2 failed emission attempts. Really want a turbo style supercharger instead of turbo, but love the sound of turbo a little more. Really curious if the guys doing the tuning project will consider it.
