Default Yeah, another detail on a F

Well, Im going to post some of the pics I got of my car after the detail. I picked up my car a couple of weeks ago after it came out of the bodyshop. I already been in contact with the detailer and he already had seen the car and quote me for a 2 step paint correction and a glass coat for $1k. The glass coat is a product called 22ple, and gentleman, ITS TOTALLY SICK!!! You dont have to wax your car after it cause it wont stick no more than a week. It last from 18 - 24 months.

The detail included: Exterior wahsed and cleansed, clayed, imperfections removed: holograms, wet sanding marks, spider webbing, isolated scratches and hairline scratches. Even though he quote me for a 2 stage, he thought it would be better a 3 step, and he throw it in for free on every pannel. He added glass coat on every pannel, interior cleaned, cleaned the engine. He did cleaned the wheels, but since he told me that the first wash of the car he wanna do it, he is going to remove the wheels and remove the swilrs on them and put more 22ple on them. And put on top of the glass coat something called Black Fire.

Well, here are the pics. I dont have a lot of the before and after shots cuz the detailer got them. He left Monday to detail like 15 car for a Bently and Rolls Royce in San Antonio in the coming weeks.

Enjoy and comment

Before and after...

Looks outstanding, well worth the money.

It takes a lot of time and money to get this sort of result, I think a few of us appreciate the effort required.

Obsidian is so hard to keep from scratching/marring, I'm interested in your "Glass Coat", any further info.?

Is it a ceramic coating?

Wow your car is shiny! Looks really good. I just can't imagine myself spending that kinda money on a detail. But to you and your clean car!

For what I read it have a high silica concentration. Its very easy to apply, but you got to know how to do it. The applicator and towels will get hard and you have to throw them away. Also, the car needs like 6 days to be completly cured. Right now my car is its 3rd day Do a search for 22PLE. You will find some info. Not a lot of detailers use it because they go with the Opti Coat. The detailer told me he can do the Opti Coat, but for the Lambos and Ferraris he does, 22PLE is what he use.

The car looks excellent! Pretty significant difference with professional work. Nothing like the feeling of driving around in a clean car.

Hard to believe that the paint on a 2011 can get so bad so quick. It's why I went with SFP for a DD, but have to admit the black looks very good when it's flawless like yours appears to be now. That hood shot is amazing!

the last pic looks the best! (not the aventador pic)

One thing is i don't believe in those treatments that last 1-2 years or whatever. IMO...not worth it. But all that really matters is how you like it.

That looks very good!

Black color is a pain to keep it that way.

Love the last pic for sure.

Gah! This is why I don't want a black car. Those small imperfections always seem much more apparent. Plus I'm pretty sure there isn't any place anywhere reasonably close to me that could do that kind of work.

The results really look great!

Great shine from 22PLE! Amazing product, and it definitely is worth the price IMO. especially with Obsidian. The shine and reflection really get amplified with this product. I've always used Blackfire on my F, which I already knew did a great job at enhancing the "wet" look of the car, but combined with 22PLE, it looks amazing!

Looks great man. Glad you found someone to treat your car right... so many sketchy "detailers" around these days who claim they know what they are doing and just make things worse. Definitely worth the money to pay for quality work! Great choice!

I've had 22ple VX1 Pro on my car for 6 months now and it still shines and beads water like the day I applied it. You'll love it.

Hopefully he explained to you (or you already know?) the proper washing and drying methods (2-3 bucket method with grit guards) so you can keep those swirls away!

Once again, simply stunning... enjoy that gorgeous car!
