Not to be the old man here, but I find mine plenty loud with just the PPE headers and stock exhaust. The Takeda intake made it sound even better. It still sets off car alarms without fail going in and out of the parking garage.
I'm looking at doing up a custom mid pipe with high flow cats, then add an axle back if I find mufflers I like and use helmholtz resonators to kill the drone. The stock mufflers aren't terribly restrictive anyway.

Welcome to the group! I used to have an E90 N54 335i as well (mine was Alpine white), and another member on here PhiDeltBee also used to have a 335i. There are a few of us converts. I now have an Obsidian '09 ISF. It sounds like you're going to do more mods than I plan on doing, but let me tell you, the ISF bone stock is faster and more fun than my "tuned" 335i that ran a 12.8 at the track was. I have not regretted the change at all, and I know you won't either!
I really liked my 335i, but not nearly as well as the F. Mine was tuned as well. Actually drove a friends M3 yesterday and I'm still extremely happy with my decision although the M3 is a fantastic car.

welcome! i came from an e90 as well. I had modded it to the gills but ran out of room and patience when it came to the fuel pump. Im definitely glad to be in the F...it's an amazing car. Enjoy!

One suggestion I have is to attend the Northeast meet in DE next month and listen to all of the different setups prior to purchasing the borla. I have SIKKY / JOE-Z, I have heard a PPE / BORLA system and like my setup better. But it all depends on what you like. Same for suspension, you can hop a ride or drive several cars and see what you like best.
