Default Lexus IS-F Discontinued

Just got a text with a picture from a friend who is freaking out and i'm trying not to join him. Picture is of the news paper - USA - Today and title says "Lexus IS F's parting is such sweet sorrow"... goes on to say. 2013 Lexus IS-F is the last IS-F to be made? Someone please tell me they are just renaming the IS-F or doing the "Totally redesigned" marketing thing. I've been waiting on purpose for the new ISF and not buying the current model. Someone go grab the news paper! QUICK!

P.S - This is not an attempt to scare anyone, I just want the facts!

Edit - I forgot to add he said its in the money section. Go quick!

Ok, so I couldn't wait jumped on the yamaha rode to publix read the paper. Here is what is says not word for word but you'll get it.
- 2013 Lexus IS-F is the last IS-F to be made.
- 2014 Lexus IS line up with have no performance "F" models within it.
- BMW M3 will have a sedan for 2014 - Which most of us already knew.
- Lexus sold on 485 IS-F's in 2013 (Don't remember the exact number but it was under 500)
- Basically they were saying Lexus just isn't making enough money off the IS-F's.

I also looked online before I left to see for myself and couldn't find it there.
Its in the USA Today paper - Money section turn the page once and its on the right side page. Can't miss it huge IS-F photo right there.

So um maybe they will call the new IS-F the SF-C IDK all I know is Lexus needs a $60,000 400-500 hp sedan. BMW,Cadillac etc have it why not lexus.

If this is true, I pretty much called it.

The IS-F didn't sell well at all.

Naw, USA Today is more comic book than newspaper IMO.

With the LFA no longer produced I think the ISF is needed by Lexus more now than ever.

I believe it has already been confirmed that the 2014 IS F will still be build on the 2IS, so it's not discontinued yet from what I've heard/read. Whether they release a new IS F based on the 3IS is yet to be entirely known, but I'd bet there is something coming, whether it is actually called the IS F may be up in the air though.

Lol @ this reporting. We already knew that the ISF was special order now and that the first year would be for the 2014 IS sedan only. The F is not dead, and will be back in a couple years

I would much rather they discontinue the F than make a new body style. That would mean ridiculous resale value years from now.....I mean look at the NSX and Supra......even the 996 Turbo have awesome resale values. Besides, I doubt I'd upgrade to another F...I'd want a change.
