Default IS-F Alpine leather (Blue Ink) Issue

Hey guys,

I recently took my car in for service at the dealer, when i picked up the car i noticed that there was blue ink (line) on the passenger front seat. (seems like the tech had a blue pen in his back pocket) Anywho i called the dealer about 5 mins after i rode out of the lot and he told me to bring it in to check it out. I told him that i will try to remove it, however he said "do not touch it" bring me the car tomorrow, i'll take a look at it.

My question is... Can this be removed? Will the dealer issue a new seat? or re-upholster the seat with original leather?

The mark is about 4 inches long.

Im guessing there has to be a way to get it out. You may want to search around on the Detailing section. They have a guide to Lexus leather care.

You can try this stuff.I never used the ink remover but Leather Masters is a very good company.

Thank you all for the information, but like i mentioned above, they told me not to touch it, So they can look at it.

Tomorrow, i'll see what they say and go from there. Hopefully it can be removed. I had a loaner for about a week & missing the F lol.

Nothing, just took it for the 60k maintenance, & alignment. I guess They had alot of cars in & my advisor told me it will take about 2-3 days (took 5 days) when i got a call. Didn't bother me because i was driving the new 2013 RX350

Use rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip. One of the stupid technicians that sat in my car had a pen in his pocket and it created a 7" pen mark on my seat. Worked for me.

Dam that sucks! Ya I'd use some alcohol on a Q-tip or cottonball to rub it out.

Update... since dealer said not to touch it. They are covering the damage. They will replace the leather (Upholstering) by Lexus. I am very happy they didn't deny it unlike other small shops, which prolly would had made me gone on a mission and such....
