Its a pretty car, but why trade a relatively new car in already for not much more. Did you need AWD or want a coupe that bad? Smaller engine, lower top speed (bragging rights) and a questionable reliability track record and all....

I'm probably remembering very old news, but has Audi done something to mitigate the carbon issues found in their older 4.2 V8s that required tear downs to fix?

Don't get me wrong, I would love to get my wife an S5, but I just hate the idea of spending time in the shop.

I'm sorry if this came out wrong. I'm genuinely interested!

F had 51000 on it and yes, AWD where I live is some peace of mind. I stuck the F a couple of times at trailheads in the winter - getting too old to be shoveling it out. I got a 6 year 50K audi warranty with the car. Don't expect to be putting the same miles on it as the F. Your questions are fair.

Congrats on the new ride, I hope their reliability issues won't occur.

Thanks for the input. I came from an AWD car. I might have to go back to one next car around.

Beautiful car BTW. Audi knows how to make a stunning car! Oh, and the 4.2 sounds fantastic when opened up.

EDIT: Oh, I see Colorado. I moved from Boulder to here. I fully understand now!

I haven't ruled out coming back at some point, but I surely don't care for the new spindle grill.

Same here... I'm jealous, but in the meantime I'm enjoying the IS-F... for the last 21 years, I've driven turbo AWD vehicles (1993 Toyota Celica Alltrac Turbo and a 2004 Volvo S60 R), so this is a bit of a shock at how often I break loose, but it's fun!

Are you referring to the marketing jargon?
