Screw in tire...what is the consensus on this?

I got a tire plugged on the F and I have no problems. I put several thousand miles on the plugged tire. I also got it plugged because the tire place didn't have patches lol. But nothing wrong with a plug!

I also agree that you should take it to get patched. Find a reputable tire dealer in your area (if you're somewhat active in your local C&C group it shouldn't be hard to get recommendations) rather than your Lexus dealership. Not saying Lexus couldn't do it, but this is really a tire issue and I'd rather take it to a shop that deals with this all day every day.
And yes, I've had a patch put in from a screw in a tire on a previous "high performance" car. It did not blow out or affect the performance at all. Like others have said, I wouldn't plan on doing 160mph runs or tracking on the repaired tire necessarily, but spirited drives and DD duty should be fine.
