^^^^Hey Joe

I'll forward your question to Anish, but by looking at the pict of the NS400 brake they have on their weekly special, it appears that both the pad and the backing plate do not have the cutout.

Can you tell me today if the NS & NS400 (Front) now come with full clean pad pucks with NO cut outs for the break sensors that we do not have... (Found on few older Benzos that also use our Front Brembo calipers)

Hi JoeZ!!

Hello Anish,

Thanks for posting the side by side comparison...

So basically, they are now using the same backing plates, but have made us the proper "Toyota Fitment" version pucks found on the NS400..

Are both the backing plate material and brake puck materials exactly the same on both versions ??

Clear brainer would be to purchase the now available NS400, since it makes more sense the have full brake pad coverage..

Thanks for the info so far..

I can tell you that the Type NS pads I have been running for over two years, have a perfect OEM like fitment.. (for the IS-F)

Hey Joe

According to Anish the difference in the manufacturing between the Type NS and NS400 Pads is The NS400 is a lower cost version of Type NS. The compound is made in Japan but moulded onto backing plates that are cut in Thailand for lower cost.

Default Speed-Freaks Group Buy

As promised the good guys at SpeedFreaks have put together a Group Buy for us at CL. As many of you know, I purchased my Ferodo DS2500 Front Pads from them, and frankly was blown away by their customer service. There are great guys to work with. I will probably be getting in on this myself - I'll be replacing my front rotors (again) with the Project Mu. From the feedback I have seen, these are a quality slotted rotor suitable for aggressive driving. The pad choices in the Group Buy are familiar to all you guys, and are all low dust. The Group Buy is here:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/clu...e-special.html

And ends on 2/8/13.

For those of you interested in a more track oriented rotor and more aggressive pads, I believe a future Group Buy will come up with 2 piece rotors like described in this thread:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-freaks-2.html

I believe more aggressive pads will be an option with the 2 piece rotors.

Lou

The pricing on the link in the Group buy thread is the special pricing for this Group Buy that ends tomorrow. The pricing listed in the text of the Group Buy thread is the list price. Click on the Link and see the Special Price and the Special Price with the Rotor and Brake Pad options
