Need Help with TIRE for 2008 IS F
Hi, my friend have a car dealer and just take this 2008 Lexus IS F in exchange and I just fall in love with that amazing car..... but I need to change TIRE on it... right now it have on it
Hancook V12 Ventus EVO 275-30-19 on every wheel
My question is.... should I go with original size in the front and back or go with the same thing again or go with 225-40-19 on all 4 wheel , I live in Montreal so the road are not so good...

If you plan to drive the car in snow, I recommended dedicated 18" winter wheels with snow tires. There are threads here describing what to use.
For summers, the stock wheels are great, just match the tire make and model front to back. The stock wheels are 8" front and 9" rear. I'm running 245/35/19 - 285/30/19 Bridgestone Potenza S-04 PP front to back. Many folks here Run Michelin PSS 245/35/19 - 275/30/19 front to back.

By the way, I got navigation system in the car, can we update the MAPS ? We need to go to a LEXUS dealer?

If you plan to drive the car in snow, I recommended dedicated 18" winter wheels with snow tires. There are threads here describing what to use.

You mean it's a DVD that we insert in the car or DEALER update the NAVIGATION ?
P.S. I just call a tire shop here near Montreal and he can have the model NITO NT555 or GENERAL G MAX you know these model ???? (snow coming here so summer tire are rare lol)

Right now , I have a very good look with the 275-30-19.... I wonder if I put 225-40-19... if we gonna see big difference...

My answer from another thread:
Leaving the stock tires on the front was a mistake IMO. You've exacerbated the understeer by keeping the relatively narrow 225s on the front. in addition, Max Performance Tires, while being built to a high standard to enhance the handling vehicle they are installed on, may achieve that goal through differing construction methods. Mixing two different makes or models of Hi-Po tires may have an adverse effect on the handling of the vehicle they are installed on. In short, I recommend you install the S-04 245/35/19 tires in front as soon as you can.
My F with the S-04s has never felt as planted and has handled as well as it does now. I'm able to take freeway exit ramps and enter freeway entrance ramps at speeds never possible with my stockers or my previous DW tires.

Hello Lou, well I guess I will order some tire on Tirerack... not much model is available in Montreal.... you run Bridgestone Potenza... you like it ? Better then Hankook Ventus or Michelin (much expensive)....
By the way, I have the light in the dash AFS that flash sometime.... I should go see a dealer for that ?

Hey those running 245/35/19 - 275/30/19 on factory wheels please provide some feedback/review on what kind of tire company, if you use it on track, any rubbing with factory suspension, an how is the wear on them.

I just installed 245/35/19 and 285/30/19 Bridgestone Potenza PP S-04 on my 08 IS F about three weeks ago and collected about 300 miles on them for daily street use. I also had Sikky swaybar installed before installing the new PP S-04 tires. So far there is no tire rubbing at all. I love it when it comes to curvy back roads.
