ISF vs M3 Texas Mile Times
I was watching Youtube video's of Texas Mile and came across video's of ISF and M3, now this is when it gets interesting. Two different M3's, a supercharged M has three vids posted and the tuned M has one vid all from 2011. The ISF vid was from March 2011 Mojave Mile run.
M3 In 3/2011 had the following mods and this was his speed at elevation of 210ft above sea level.
2010 E92 M3 DCT with
Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust
ESS Akrapovic Tune
Standing Mile speed:157.8
M3 In 3/2011 had the following mods and this was his speed at elevation of 210ft above sea level..
2010 E92 M3 DCT with
ESS VT2 600 Supercharger
Standing Mile speed:168.4
ISF in 3/2011 at Mojave mile had the following mods and this was his speed at elevation of 2,791ft above sea level.
2008 ISF with
Borla Cat Back 100 octane race gas
Standing mile speed 163.3
These times are very interesting considering ISF with cat back which adds no performance to car and 100 octane is over 6mph faster then M3 with exhaust and tune and only 5mph slower then same M3 with supercharger and tune. As you can see there is difference of elevation between the two location did this make any difference? all the races were in Oct of 2011 no temp or any other info on race condition of that day were post. They did not post how much time it took to complete there run's but I'm assuming M3 owner with supercharger on M was able to hit his top speed much quicker then F but in the end it's about what your top speed is not how fast your got to your top speed. There are 2 vid of another F at Texas Mile he ran 154.1 stock the owner stated there was strong head wind on his run

On a 125 shot, my car got to the 172mph limiter well before the mile. I was planning on running in the Miami mile, so I decided to run the car beforehand to make sure I want going to waste money running in the event.
M3 sounds great. I really think that the new motor is going to cause us some serious trouble.
