Default Water in headlight

So last week, I pulled the car out of the garage and noticed condensation in the right headlight. I researched the forums and only came up with this,

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...eadlights.html

Dealership says they have to diagnose it but worse case $1477 for a new head light cause my car is now out of warranty. Any thoughts or ideas to help?

One guy said he opened the back of the light to air it out and put it back together and he hasnt had a problem since. Might as well ask a stupid question but is this a special process? Im away on business til tuesday so trying to get some info before I head back home.

If no one else has any other suggestions, guess I'll just have to eat it and buy a new headlight..... Thanks all....

Dude, I don't think you need to eat it and buy a new headlight. Do as the other guy did, open the back to air it out and reassamble, chances are when you reassamble you may reseal it tightly and stop that condensation. Good luck.

I had exact same problem as yours a few weeks ago. It started with condensation on my driver side headlights. Dealer said that i need a new headlight that will cause $1400. Even though i only needed 1 headlight I ended up buying a set of used headlight from CL classified side for cheaper. The guy i bought from had the same exact year as my F. Im getting ready to pick it from my dealership. What year is your F? Maybe i'll sell you the passenger headlight with ballast and bulbs. Let me know.

My car is out of warranty and I had my dealership do a report for lexus to read. i called lexus warrenty and they called back the next day. They covered one headlight for me. Usually pretty good about covering parts event of warranty, at least with my experiences.
