Dunno what you mean by if insurance will cover it? I'm guessing u curbed ur own wheel. Do u want to pay deductable and have ur premium raised?

And the dealer will most likely repair it

Highly doubt it. When they were trying to sell me on it, you pretty much had to total the rim to the point where it wouldn't hold air in the tire for them to replace it under warranty. sadly I turned it down and a month later my dad borrowed it and comes home with this. Should be repaired and picked up tomorrow. Weird thing is he didn't hit anything the tire just blew out on a freeway without a shoulder so he had to drive on the rim for a half a mile to the first exit.

Ummm.. He HAD to drive half a mile lol? Don't they have tow trucks in your part of the world? Shoulder or not highway would be closed if that happened to me.

I think you should give that rim a proper grave. My favorite of all the stock rims

Yeah... that looks painful to watch. That's why NO ONE borrows my F. Not even the wife unless i'm with her. lol. Wheels can be repaired. A friend of mine works at a Lexus dealer. He told me that his dealership repairs its wheels through Wheels of America. You may want to look into it.

yup 1800 bucks later, and that was after two days of talking them down from the initial $2770 they wanted to charge me.

I plan on turning it into a glass coffee table with a lot of grinding buffing and possibly paint.

My cousin bought it on her mustang.. The guy told her to claim it was road debris. If you admit fault (curbbing) they can and will deny they claim at least with Fords wheel/tire insurance

Wheel insurance is dealer dependent. You need to read your contract to see what is and is not covered. Most require the rim to be damaged to the point it will not hold air. Curbing is not included in the coverage unless it cracks the wheel.
