Would I be able to buy this part used and still be able to use an aftermarket hid kit?
Found some on ebay for $60 each.
thanks
Do you mean aftermarket hid bulbs? If so, then yes. I recommend something like Garax HID bulbs if you don't want to spend more on Phillips 5000k or 6000k bulbs. I put Garax on my ex's SC430 6 years back and they are still running fine. The Garax on my car are about 2 years old now. Quality is very good and they are made in Japan.

^ This thread should tell you everything you need to know as far as removing the old and installing your new lights.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...on-how-to.html

That is mainly for installing the Sewell rewired lights. If you need to repin, or if you want to wire the LEDs to always be on or dim to 50% with low beams, there are threads discussing that also. Search it up.

So maybe I'm missing something but if the leds come on with the parking lights from the way Sewell wires them, why would I need to pull out the red wire and ground it? Wouldn't that already be grounded? I understand wiring the green wire to the fuse tap, but the ground seems like a step you could skip?

FYI- just tested this out while installing the Sewell stripped set. There's no need to ground the fifth (red) wire. Just run the green wire to the fuse tap and your set for them to be on when the car is on.

Default Wire colors need to be changed

It took me 4 hours to do the wiring process only to find out in the comment section that the wire colors need to be switched. Green is power supply and red is the ground. My headlights are OEM 2012. I took me another 2 hours to remove the bumper and rewire. Now it work perfectly thanks to a comment. Thanks a lot guys.

Those don't look too bad. Were they straight plug in & play?
