for future reference
its the 4th wire in the harness that supplies power and the 5th is the ground

they were switched
talk about a head ache

I saw this post that I'm quoting and I switched my wires around. NOW, I get power to my passenger side LED but once the DRL's come on, my LEDs turn off. Also, my driver side is not getting ANY power.
What do I need to do? Someone please help. My cell is 214.616.8863 and I am in desperate need of help. Please please please.

whats the problem? youre only gettin power to one of ur leds right? all i did was run power from one light to the other and it worked. been workin since forever and ive tried it on two diferent headlights

Sorry that this is sort of an old thread but maybe someone can help clear something up..
From what I gather, you must disconnect the green/red wires from the headlight side of the harness, and connect green to ground, and red to power from IG2 fuse. is that all? They do not go back into the harness? Is that all the rewiring that is required? (Is there any cleaner way so that the harness disconnect is the only thing you will have to disconnect?)

So you, I assume did the method where you splice the red and white/black wires together, then move the green wire(this one i'm still confused about, there's like 4 green wires) to an open slot.
This method allows for manual control of led(doesn't come on automatically)
the other method, is where you ground the green wire, then connect the red wire from each side to the the ig2 fuse.
That is unless someone found a plug in the harness that gives power always?

So I was following this thread too swap to the 2012 headlights on my 08 isf. I uninstalled everything swapped ballast and bulbs tested the leds by applying 12v to the connections on led board and they work fine but when I applied the power to the pins on the harness which should be the led pins it didn't work. Than I went to hook up the harness to the harness on the car to test the rest of the headlight before cutting and splicing the wire but my low beams, high beams and drl wouldnt turn on.. I didnt have my drl turned off at dealer yet. The turn signal worked. Also when I turned them on the led flickered. Any help would be appreciated. Is it possible that since I didn't have the led wired to the fuse for power they were trying to draw power and that's why they flickered and the rest ofthe headlight wasnt getting any juice.

Dannyk- I just did the install this last weekend. I bought my set through eBay and rather than repin and leave it 100% brightness I just ended up grounding the white wire from the led board, black and green went to a 5-pin relay so it would mimic the 50%-100% OEM

I was going to tap into the ignition fuse for the leds but the problem is that my low beams or high beams aren't coming on. That is what is leading me to believe that the pins aren't making contact with the right pins on my harness.. what really did you use?

Dannyk: I didn't have that issue. Everything was working that I could tell (highs, lows, turn signal) once I plugged the headlight connectors. The only thing I'm not sure that's pinned is for the auto level motors which I have yet to see go up and down.
Can you take a picture of your headlamp connectors, I can try to help you or someone can chime in if your harness needs to be repinned properly.
