Question HELP!(Check engine/Traction control light) Need info/advice/knowledge on IS-F problem

So, I'm looking into buying an 08 F from a non-Lexus dealership. The problem is, the check engine light and traction control lights are both on.

Now the dealer has had an electrician in, and he states that the ECU is not grounding the o2 sensors (even after replacement of the sensors). Other than that, the car apparently checks out perfectly. After the engine light gets cleared, the traction light clears as well. He also said that there was an aftermarket exhaust on it that they replaced with an OEM IS-F exhaust, which he stated the shop said may have contributed to the problem. Why would this be happening? How big of a problem is this? Any info or advice on this would be helpful.

Run the codes and find out what they are. It could be maybe the car still has a set of headers installed?

Its probably P0420 catalytic inefficiency levels recognized.....because of the change in exhaust the computer may be relearning everything....scan and find out.

And the lights will come on with one another. Anytime there is a CEL you get traction light also. Just have them give you codes as stated before and let us know

I would not take the car as long as the codes are coming back. I think you may want to find a different car. You could get stuck with a reoccurring problem which would suck

Ha! That would do it.

Anyways, dealer says he believes the headers are still installed from before. Could this be it?

That'll be nice if it's something that simple. I'll have to wait till tomorrow to see.

Being that the car is modded and is throwing codes, I would advise to stay away. Look for a car that is stock.

Yeah I'm being cautious. I'm just looking into it, because if this is the only problem, then I might get a good deal. But if I get the feeling that something else is going on, then I'm out asap.

Don't take the dealers word as gospel. If he says I think the headers are still there I would physically check and run the codes yourself. You can get a cheap OBD II reader for like $40 or even rent one. If it is caused by the supposed headers ask he dealer to put in the resistors. This way your not buying any problems.
