What does the muffler shop care? They're not the ones that have you check your emissions. If the emissions shop give you crap, you'll have to go back to the muffler shop, which is more money for them.

I hope this video of mine helps. I posted this a couple of months ago. The only modification I did to my car was adding the joe-z intake and full exhaust system.
Everything else is stock.
Having great sets of speakers or nice head sets would be preferable.
PLEASE NOTE: there were a couple more mild take offs right before this recording ends. So it's basically from start to finish.
So basically from 3:04 this is where one would expect to hear the so-called "Drone". But I don't hear any at all. Drones are obvious once you hear it and after a while it can be annoying so I know one when I hear one.

im in the same boat here dont know if it is a matter of age , or just being there done that!!! , thats why I only want to experience the sound of one isf only w the headers and all the pipping stock including the cats, also the gains! anyone?

You have to understand, ISFPat's from California where they raid emissions shops with SWAT Teams for fudging emissions inspections. For real. It was on the news in Sacramento when I lived there. A SWAT Team with full gear breaks open the door and rushes in with genuine assault weapons and the poor guy behind the desk crapped his pants.

From all the reading I've done on these forums regarding exhaust systems, their seems to be a big disparity in what drone is or is not. We all have our own ideas. And personally, I can't stand drone or a real aggressive exhaust tone. That is why I have gone to the lengths that I have to retain the stock mufflers, even if it means a little more restriction. IMHO, the solution I have finally come upon is the best of all worlds. I luv my system from the PPE headers to the stock tips
